Disappointing, leaves a slight haze after rainstorm January 9, 2009 I tried this product as I clean my windshield regularly, particularly before rainstorms, for maximum vision clarity. It does indeed wipe off streak-free ... IF you use a clean, dry microfiber cloth after cleaning with this fluid and a paper towel or rag.
What disappointed me was that after driving in heavy rain, in which water was beading up about as well as a scrupulously clean windscreen, using a competitor glass cleaner, light mist formed on the window from mild spray on the road. This actually reduced visibility, and I had to use my single-swipe wiper function more than without Rain X. I also noticed a slight haze on the window, evidenced by a halo around oncoming vehicles' headlights.
It's well known that Rain X has to be used regularly, or the window loses its hydrophobic quality, and a haze forms. As I mentioned, using another product regularly, I get a very clean window which rain rolls off effortlessly, and leaves no hazy residue.
It works well December 2, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have all kind of Rain-x products..! Started from the original many years ago, and love it. But because it take longer, and more works to apply, I decided to try the Rain-X 2-in-1.
As far as I concern, it works almost as well as the original.
Here in Seattle, WA. We just have some snow from last night, then heavy rain as of right now. I can see through my windows on my STi driving like I am on dry roads, and regular day light visability.
Useless waste November 28, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
As a glass cleaner, this product leaves a residue.
As a rain repellent, I'd give it a 2 out of 10.
Don't bother.
Stick to Windex and original rain-x.
Rather use water September 20, 2007 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
This has to be the worse product on the market today. If you use it on your windows, it leaves a white streak residue that is almost tough to see through. I used it on my truck, and then I had to clean the windows with windex twice to get the streak s off. It is an awful product, I wish they would take it off the shelves due to safety risks. I do like all other RainX products, but this one needs to go into the trash.
