Customer Reviews:
Great suction...gentle on window glass January 9, 2009 Originally, I purchased a different product: Heavy-Duty Dual Head Aluminum Suction Cup Handle - 180 LB Capacity
I like this single cup 110 lb capacity much better.
First reason is this...With this device (single cup), you engage the vacuum by pulling UP on the handle, on the dual head referenced above, you press DOWN on the levers to active the vacuum. I am afraid that the dual version would break the pane window glass. This item (single cup) pulled away from the surface which will be better on pane window glass (also much less effort was needed to engage).
The second reason is this...I tried both on my kitchen counter top. I was never able to break the grip of this item (single cup) whereas I was able to break the grip of the dual cup version. Maybe if I had pressed harder downward on the cups with the dual it would have held better...but remember that I plan on using this with window glass and pressing harder would probably have broken the window pane. ( I did though press down with at least 15 pounds of strength is my guess)...to engage the single cup, I pulled up or squeezed the handle with little or NO PRESSING DOWN.
Note that I received these yesterday and today. Other than the counter top test, I have not used these yet. BUT... the single cup engages by pulling up on the lever and the dual cup engages by pressing downward onto the surface you are attaching to.
